Если вы думаете, что наркоз во время хирургической операции нужен только для того, чтобы избавить пациента от боли, то ошибаетесь. Ещё одно назначение анастезии заключается в том, чтобы лежащий на операционном столе: во-первых, своими советами или критическими замечаниями не мешал хирургу и медсёстрам, а во-вторых, не слышал его нелицеприятные комментарии по поводу своих внутренних органов.

В этом смысле анонимное внешнее рецензирование научной статьи в нормальных научных журналах также является неким обезболиванием автора публикации. По крайней мере, до момента вынесения вердикта редактором: принять или отвергнуть статью. Но если вам повезло с анастезиологом и используемыми анастетиками, то вся процедура операции под общим наркозом для вас закончится, когда вы произнесёте “восемь” или “девять”. И никаких вопросов хирурга в ходе операции – конкретных или риторических, вы не услышите. Но как автору статьи, вам будет полезно знать вопросы, которые внешний рецензент может задавать сам себе, читая вашу статью.

На 16-ой странице очень неплохой английской книжки Маргарет Каргилл и Патрика О’Коннора “Написание научных статей об исследовании. Стратегия и шаги” приведён перечень типичных вопросов, рекомендуемых рецензентам научных публикаций.

1. Is the contribution new?
2. Is the contribution significant?
3. Is it suitable for publication in the Journal?
4. Is the organization acceptable?
5. Do the methods and the treatment of results conform to acceptable scientific standards?
6. Are all conclusions firmly based in the data presented?
7. Is the length of the paper satisfactory?
8. Are all illustrations required?
9. Are all the figures and tables necessary?
10. Are figure legends and table titles adequate?
11. Do the title and Abstract clearly indicate the content of the paper?
12. Are the references up to date, complete, and the journal titles correctly abbreviated?
13. Is the paper excellent, good, or poor?

Далее я предлагаю вам свой перевод этого перечня. “Для чего он нужен?” – спро́сите вы. В принципе, можно не обращать на него внимание. Но я считаю, что знать о том, как вас будет “оперировать” анонимный буржуйский товарищ, необходимо, чтобы как следует подготовиться к “операции”. Честные (это очень важно!) ответы на все эти вопросы должны помочь вам написать статью, у которой шансы относительно безболезненно пройти рецензента будут выше, чем обычно. О том, что упомянутая выше книжка имеет дело с медико-биологической тематикой, можно не “заморачиваться”. Основные положения книги касаются научной статьи практически любой направленности.

Типичные вопросы в форме, в соответствии с которой рецензент даёт оценку научной статье:

  1. Является ли статья новой?
  2. Является ли научный вклад значительным?
  3. Подходит ли статья для публикации в данном журнале?
  4. Является ли приемлемой структура статьи?
  5. Удовлетворяют ли методы и результаты лечения соответствующим научным стандартам?
  6. Все ли выводы основаны на представленных данных?
  7. Достаточен ли объём статьи?
  8. Все ли рисунки необходимы?
  9. Все ли чертежи и таблицы необходимы?
  10. Соответствуют ли легенды рисунков и заголовки таблиц их содержанию?
  11. Насколько чётко заголовок и реферат соответствуют содержанию статьи?
  12. Насколько современными и полными являются ссылки на литературу. Правильно ли приведены сокращённые заголовки журналов?
  13. Является ли статья превосходной, хорошей или плохой?

Ниже вы можете просмотреть содержание этой, на мой взгляд, очень неплохой книги. В конце материала – ссылка на скачивание zip-архива. Напоминаю господам аспирантам о том, что книжка – буржуйская, выпущена солидным издательством, у которого – “длинные руки” правообладателя. Лично мне уже приходили “письма счастья” из-за “бугра” с просьбой убрать то или иное издание с сайта. Так, что кто не успел, тот – опоздал.
