The LRAD system was developed specifically in response to the USS Cole attack in October of 2000. The LRAD device fulfills a capability gap for military vessels to hail, notify, and warn approaching vessels at significant ranges with clear voice or prerecorded messages in almost any language.

The Long Range Acoustic Device™ (LRAD®) is a breakthrough hailing, warning, and deterrent device that is designed to communicate with authority, affect behavior and help determine intent.

As a method for safely addressing the difficult missions of the war on terrorism, enforcing perimeter and exclusion areas, and supporting military operations other than war, the LRAD product puts distance between a potential threat and our troops to save lives on both sides of the device.

Remote Long Range Acoustic Device LRAD-R™ The LRAD-R gives users the ability to effectively respond to potential threats from a safe operating environment in a remote location. The LRAD-R is TCP/IP addressable and consists of an LRAD emitter head, pan/tilt device for precise aiming, integrated camera, and an easy to use software control interface.

The LRAD-R has been specifically designed for use in a variety of environments where low maintenance, trouble-free operation is a must. There are a number of military applications for the LRAD-R including enforcement of exclusion zones around military vessels, shipboard protection, or critical infrastructure protection.
